My freelance translator course

My name is Gaël Thiercelin, I am a native French freelance translator and I offer translation, French transcription, French subtitling and Wikipedia page creation services.
I translate all type of documents from English to French and vice-versa (except for medical texts).
My translations are of high quality and respect terminology as well as delivery time.

Since I was a young, I have always had a deep interest in English. I cannot perceive my hobbies (like cinema) without English. A movie in English and French is a completely different experience that makes you really enter the language. And that is the case for every domain.
It is this duality of language and culture that I liked and I have then decided to make it my job. I have started by entering the University of Orléans in 2011 where I obtained my bachelor’s degree in English language, literature and civilisation (mainly didactics, grammar as well as English, Irish and American history).

I went on with a master’s degree of translation composed of different modules such as translation theory, use of the SDL Trados software, self-edition of a translation as well as translation and creation of a Wikipedia page.
I obtained this degree with honours and it is in September of 2016 that I started my career as a freelance translator. I have since worked for several clients, some of which are listed below.

My interests are very varied and comprise the movie industry, video games, cooking, astrophysics, automobile industry, zoology, information technologies or sciences.
